Rheological Properties and Composition of VaselineTwelve commercial vaselines were fractionated into n-and iso-paraffins. The iso-paraffins were separated by molecular distillation into 7 fractions, each of which was subjected to structural group analysis. This resulted in increasing the construction stability of the veseline, a t the same time decreasing the oil separation by an increase of the content of iso-paraffins, by raising the quotient: iso-paraffins/n-paraffins, by a high oil viscosity and moderate oil content. Bd.
