This paper considers the design of s t a t e estimators for interconnected systems wherein it may not be f e a s i b l e t o measure the complete int e r a c t i o n v e c t o r t o each subsystem. Unbiased estimates are obtained by a?lowing the various l o c a l f i l t e r s t o exchange the minimal information required for constructing estimates of the interaction vectors. The o p t i m i z a t i o n o f such a s t r u c t u r e v i a an e x i s t i n g c o o r d i n a t i o n a l g o r i t h m i s discussed and a numerical example i s presented.
The performance of an AGC algorithm is constrained by the logistics of implementing a large scale control system, and by human interaction with the control loop. Thus, AGC performance is far from ideal. The paper addresses issues surrounding the implementation of AGC on a large power system and suggests modifications to this implementation in which intelligent control could have a positive effect.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
