The process of curing an epoxyamine composite was investigated by methods of dynamic mechanical analysis and rotational viscometry. The service characteristics of the cured composites depend on the curing process and are directly related to the process kinetics and to change in the rheological characteristics.
Modification of epoxy oligomer by thermostable thermoplastics-polysulfon, polyethersulfon, and polyetherimide-has been carried out. The adhesion properties of the obtained compositions to steel have been studied. It has been shown that introduction of thermoplastic modifiers results in an increase of adhesion strength on the polymer-metal interface. Possible reasons for the observed phenomena are dis cussed.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
