Summary. In the Department of Surgery of the Mannheim Clinic, 756 patients have so far been entered in the computer-assisted follow-up program for examinations following breast cancer. Our model for computerassisted cooperative follow-up has allowed collection of patient data in a suitable form for computer processing; back-up for internal communications; preparation of reports for external communications; planning of therapy and schedules; and monitoring and special evaluations.
