O amendoim é uma cultura oleaginosa de grande importância econômica, principalmente para o Estado de São Paulo, onde é cultivado na reforma dos canaviais e são pouco conhecidos os impactos dos herbicidas na cultura. Dentro deste contexto, objetivou-se avaliar os efeitos de diferentes doses de imazapic no controle de eventual comunidade infestante de plantas daninhas, bem como as injúrias provocadas nas plantas de amendoim, cultivar IAC OL3. Utilizou-se o delineamento em blocos casualizados (DBC), com quatro tratamentos e cinco repetições, totalizando 20 unidades experimentais. Os tratamentos foram as doses de imazapic: testemunha; dose de 65 g i.a. ha-1; dose de 98 g i.a. ha-1 e 130 g ia. ha-1. A condição de aplicação foi plante-aplique. Aos 15, 30 e 60 dias após a aplicação (DAA) foram atribuídas notas de controle das plantas daninhas e notas de fitotoxicidade para a cultura do amendoim. Verificou-se controle satisfatório e decrescente das plantas daninhas para todos os tratamentos, exceto para a testemunha até os 60 DAA. As injúrias verificadas desapareceram por completo nas plantas de amendoim aos 75 DAA. Conclui-se que para uma comunidade infestante composta por Cyperus rotundus, Euphorbia heterophilla, Urochloa decumbens e Digitaria insularis, foi controlada com 98 e 130 g imazapic ha-1 em pré-emergência, sem causar danos ao amendoim cultivar IAC OL3.
