In the present study, effect of different combinations and concentrations of carbon source, tri-calcium phosphate and auxins on in vitro multiplication of Rhizophagus irregularis was investigated and rapid production protocol was developed. The high concentration of the sucrose exhibited major role for hyphal growth and spore development in in vitro production of R. irregularis and maltose being the least. Among all combinations tested, sucrose (10 g/l)+glucose (1 g/l) resulted in well developed mycelial network with profuse spore (59073 IP/100 ml) in M medium in 90 days of incubation along with proportional increase in percentage of colonization and root weight. Tri-calcium phosphate did not significantly enhance the spore development, root colonization and root weight. Different concentrations of IAA and IBA combinations did not affect the root weight and spore development.
The aim of this studyfocused on the pharmacological profile of the plant Eclipta prostrata. these activities are wound recuperating, antihyperglycaemic, Alopecia, Hepatoprotective, gum disease, Immunomodulator, cancer prevention agent, hostile to diabetic, antidote venom, Osteoprotective, antidermatophytic, antibacterial, hostile to HIV, anticancer, cytotoxic and so forth. EcliptaProstrata is little expanded yearly herbaceous plant with an antiquated time conventional drugs utilizes in numerous nations particularly in tropical and subtropical districts. An assortment of synthetic aggravate that are available in various parts of plant including coumestans, alkaloids, thiopenes, flavonoids, polyacetylenes, triterpenes and their glycosides have been confined from this species. This commitment gives a complete survey on pharmacological profile as therapeutic plant.
In clean surgical procedures, Staphylococcus aureus from the exogenous environment or patient's skin flora is the usual cause of infection. Aim was to determine whether theatre shoes and smartphones are colonised with these pathogenic microorganisms. Material and Methods: This was a descriptive cross-sectional study. The sample size was of 30 randomly selected health care personnel working in operating theatres. Samples were taken with swab soaked in normal saline from theatre shoes and smartphones. Result: For theatre shoes, Coagulase negative staphylococci made up majority of the isolates followed by coliforms, methicillin resistant staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) and methicillin sensitive staphylococcus aureus (MSSA) respectively. On the other hand, coagulase negative staphylococci epidermidis was isolated in majority of smart phones followed by MRSA in 05, MSSA in 04 and Escherichia coli was isolated in rest of the 02 smart phones.
Conclusion:The use of smart phones within hospital premises must be restricted. The infection control committee of each hospital needs to draw up a plan to handle infection arising out of smart phones and theatre shoes.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
