Die Trialkylgermane (I) reagieren mit dem Allylglycidäther (II) in Gegenwart von Hexachloroplatinsäure in wasserfreiem Benzol unter Addition an der Doppelbindung zu den Derivaten (III).
In An‐ und Abwesenheit von Benzoylperoxid addiert sich α‐Chlordimethyläther (II) an Trimethylvinylsilan (I) unter der katalytischen Wirkung von Zinkchlorid entgegen der Markovnikov‐Regel, wobei das instabile Produkt (III) entsteht, das unter β‐Zerfall in Hexamethyldisiloxan (IV) und Methylallyläther (V) zerfällt.
Die Addition der H‐Silane (I) an die Verbindungen (II) in Gegenwart von Hexachloroplatinsäure liefert die ungesättigten Epoxysilane (III) in 70 ‐ 80%iger Ausbeute.
