Integration of CAD and CAPP system is always a difficult problem in the research, the reason is that the information expression is not consistent. As the output of the CAD system, STEP standard can provide a unified interface to the CAPP system information extraction. In this paper, based on STEP neutral file part feature information extraction and recognition technology, the output from the CAD geometry STEP neutral file includes geometric characteristics information and manufacturing information, the STEP information was transformed into a format recognized by CAPP system. Based on the above research, the process design system was developed based on the information extraction and storage of parts of STEP system, and the system feasibility was proved.
By using of the principle of the reverse engineering and CATIA V5 software, the torque rheometer mixer rotor used in high polymer material test is designed. The POWERMILL software is used for NC programing and manufacturing simulation, the MIKRON UCP710 five axis linkage processing center is used for manufacturing. The practical application of this rotor on torque rheometer proves that this rotors structure design is reasonable. The test requirement of torque rheometer is well satisfied. This kind of rotor has a very good promotion value.
This article, to optimize the transmission mechanism of tightening machine, select the involute planetary gear with two teeth differences a research object, determine the design variables about modification coefficient, modulus and tooth thickness, based on the target of having the minimum volume, a mathematical model of optimization was established, the optimal solution of the objective function is obtained by using the SQP method on fmincon function of optimization toolbox of Matlab. The results showed, the volume of pinion decreased 15% after optimizated, the volume of the corresponding gear will also greatly reduced, achieved the optimization goal.
