Our study demonstrated that 2 novel SNP in ERAP1 were associated with AS in the Han Chinese population, suggesting that ERAP1 might confer genetic risk for AS in Han Chinese through the common mechanism shared by different populations, although the AS-associated SNP in ERAP1 might be population-specific.
Electrode shift of a prosthetic device is one of most challengeable problems in surface Electromyography (sEMG) based hand gesture recognition. Electrode shift is usually caused by repositioning, donning or doffing of a prosthetic device. Accuracy of gesture recognition may significantly drop since a pattern of collected signals may change after electrode shift. Although retraining a recognition system after every reposition is able to maintain accurate recognition, collecting labeled samples is inconvenient to users. In this paper, we apply an online semi-supervised learning in which a classifier is trained with a small amount of labeled samples and then is updated with unlabeled samples online to hand gesture recognition. A well-known online semi-supervised learning algorithm, online multi-channel semi-supervised growing neural gas (OSSMGNG) algorithm, is used in this preliminary study. OSSMGNG is compared with an intuitive method which learns from the initial label training set only in experiments. The data is collected from able-bodied individuals across three days for experiments. The results indicate OSSMGNG achieves a higher classification accuracy than others. It suggests that the online semi-supervised learning algorithm enhances robustness of hand gesture identification against electrode shift.
The scales is a kind of precious resource with high nutritional value. The collagen protein from scales have a widely usage prospection in the areas of health food, cosmetics and so on, and they are worthy of further studied. In this paper, the method of extracting collagen protein from the scales of Tilapia was studied by pepsin hydrolysis. First, the calcium was demineralized from the scales with using of 0.5 mol/L EDTA solution, then, the scales hydrolyzed by pepsin was made to extract the collagen, and the content of L – hydroxyproline was taken as an index to measure the extraction percentage. On this basis, the collagen extract conditions was discussed from the Tilapia scales by the pepsin. It was showed that the pepsin hydrolysis conditions were the enzyme dosage 3%, citric acid 12g/L, hydrolysis time 20h, so the rate of collagen extraction is higher.
The purpose of this work was to investigated the carbothermic reaction of fluorapatite process by the means of thermodynamics analyses, XRD and element analysis, respectively. Thermodynamic calculations indicated that phosphorus can be prepared by heating the mixture of Ca5(PO4)3F2 and C at 1173K under the system pressure of 100Pa. CO cannot react with Ca5(PO4)3F2 in the carbothermic reduction process at 973-1873K and 100Pa. Experimental results demonstrated that phosphorus can be produced by the reaction between Ca5(PO4)3F2 and C, the main reaction phase is P2(g), CO(g), CaO and CaF2, and with increasing temperature, the greater degree of response. The best technology conditions, the molar ratio of Ca5(PO4)3F2 to C is 1:7.5 at 1723K for 1h when the system pressure was about 100Pa. This study to provide experimental evidence for preparation of phosphorus by carbothermal reaction of fluorapatite in vacuum.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
