Development of coastal tourism by empowering fishing communities in Badung is one form of development that aims to make fishing communities as local genius of coastal areas. It can directly give benefit to the development of tourism in this area. The model of empowerment of fishing communities which is developed in coastal tourism uses several strategies, namely traditional, direct action, and transformation. The development of coastal tourism with the empowerment of fishing communities is expected to have a positive impact on the economy and socio-culture of fishing communities. Economic impacts can be seen from the direct opinions received by fishing communities from their direct involvement in the development of tourism villages. Whereas the socio-cultural impacts that are felt by the fishing community derives from direct interaction with tourists, such as the fishing community knowing the habits of tourists, using technology and the ability to communicate using foreign languages.Key words : tourism villages, empowerment, economy and socio-culture
The COVID-19 pandemic has had a huge impact on the tourism industry. The very high decrease in the number of tourist visits has caused many businesses in the tourism sector to close their businesses, including tourist villages. As one of the tourist villages in Bali, the Penglipuran Tourism Village is also affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. The management of Penglipuran Tourism Village has implemented the Green Economy concept. Where the application of the Green Economy concept can be seen from the tourism products offered are environmentally friendly products such as traditional houses that still utilize natural materials (bamboo trees), the souvenirs offered are processed products from agricultural and plantation products. The natural condition and clean and natural village environment is also a form of implementing the Green Economy concept which aims to preserve the environment. In its management, Penglipuran Tourism Village has involved the community starting from the planning, implementation and evaluation stages. It can be seen that pokdarwisa as a management institution is an institution established by the traditional village and the department where its members come from
Kelan Beach is one of the tourist attractions that until now has become a tourist location that is crowded with local and foreign tourists. Tourism is an attraction for tourists visiting Kelan Beach. The problem encountered in this research is that there is no accommodation or tourist attraction so that tourism in Kelan Beach has not developed well and the role of stakeholders in tourism development on Kelan Beach has not been carried out in accordance with the main objectives. This problem will be discussed using the SWOT analysis technique. This research is a qualitative research supported by the types of data and data sources, namely qualitative data and quantitative data as well as primary and secondary data. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, questionnaires and documentation. The data analysis technique used is the SWOT analysis technique, namely analyzing internal factors (strengths and weaknesses) and external factors (opportunities and threats) with the help of the Internal-External matrix and the SWOT matrix. In implementing the strategy for developing Kelan Beach as a sustainable tourist attraction, it also applies the principles of Green Tourism which lead to environmental preservation. With the condition of Kelan Beach where the environment still tends to be natural, the application of the principles of environmental preservation is a must. Preservation of the environment around Kelan Beach must involve the local community, government, businessmen and visiting tourists. The government, both regional and village governments, is obliged to issue a policy regarding environmental management around Kelan Beach which is based on the principle of preservation. Communities, entrepreneurs and tourists participate in supervising its implementation and are directly involved in preserving the environment around Kelan Beach. This is very important to implement so that tourism on Kelan Beach can be sustainable
The socialization and training activities carried out in the implementation of the Community Service Program at the Faculty of Business and Tourism, Triatma Mulya University in Tangkup Village, Sidemen Karangasem District, provide opportunities for students and lecturers to carry out community service activities in the form of mentoring and training activities. The students are trained to be able to interact with the community and be able to apply the knowledge they gain, so that they gain experience from this activity. Mental and personality formation is also the goal of organizing this community service activity. As for the lecturers, this activity is a form of implementing the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, especially in research and community service activities. The accompanying lecturers will obtain a lot of information related to the problems faced by the community, so that in this activity it is expected that the lecturers can provide solutions related to the problems faced by the community. This community service program resulted in findings that Tangkup Village has the potential to develop a homestay by utilizing residents' houses. From the results of the observation, it can be seen that there are several residential houses that are feasible to be developed into homestays. For this reason, homestay management training will have a good impact on the development of accommodation facilities in Tangkup Village, as a form of preparing Tangkup Village as a Pilot Tourism Village.
Bali is always trying to improve itself in aspects of tourism especially in accommodation and services. In terms of service to tourists, communication is one of the most decisive factors. It encourages workers in tourism sector to have good communication skills, especially communication in English. This phenomenon requires the graduates in education and training institutions of hospitality and tourism to have good communication skills, especially communication in English.In this study, researcher raised the students of STIPAR Triatma Jaya joring in Management Business Hospitality as an object of research. The analysis in this study was made to answer the following questions: (1) the problems faced by students in speaking English in terms of speech act (pragmatic), and (2) to find some factors inhibiting students in learning to speak.This researchshowed that students majoring in Management Business Hospitality, experienced problems during the lesson especially in communicate English pronunciation, word selections and the using of English grammar. It is still influenced by the magnitude of the first language or mother tongue. Some factors have limited the students in speaking English, those factors are: components of linguistic mastery, and mastery of the content component, and environmental conditions during the learning process for example, the conditions where there was a little open space in the class room resulting the inclusion of sounds that interfere the process of learning.
