The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic has caused drastic changes to social lives moreover the activities done outside, such as work and school. The policy of large-scale social restrictions (LSRR)/Pembatasan Sosial Berskala Besar (PSBB), which makes people stay at home, also plays an important role in changing the face-to-face activity online. As a solution to the major change, people use video conferencing to keep in touch and still feel like doing "offline" activities. The increasing use of video conferencing has raised concerns about the resulting fatigue, termed "Zoom fatigue." This study aimed to describe Zoom fatigue during the COVID-19 pandemic and the factors contributing to it. This study used a cross-sectional design with 376 participants. Data were gathered by completing a 45-item online questionnaire, which was analyzed using univariate, bivariate (Chi-square), and multivariate (binomial logistic regression) analyses. It was found that 68.6% of respondents experienced Zoom fatigue at a moderate to a high level. Respondents complained of se - veral symptoms related to activity, motivation, and physical weakness after using the video platform. In brief, Zoom fatigue is real, and the frequency of video platform use is related to the incidence of Zoom fatigue.
In Indonesia, there is a tendency for the emergence of musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) in school-aged children. MSDs can cause disruption of daily activities, such as lost school time. Individual factors such as sex can be the cause of MSDs. This study aims to determine how much gender differences affect the risk of musculoskeletal disorder. The design of this research was analytic observative with cross-sectional approach. The population is all high school students in the Kec. Kramat Jati East Jakarta as many as 4,708 students. The research sample was 370 class XI students. Samples were taken by simple random sampling. The independent variable is gender while the dependent variable is MSDs. Retrieval of data by filling out the Nordic Body Map questionnaire. Data were processed univariately and bivariately with chi-square test. The results showed that there was a relationship between sex and musculoskeletal disorder. The value of p = 0,000 with a PR value = 1,131 and 95% CI = 1,051 - 1,217 which shows that female are more at risk 1,131 times having musculoskeletal disorder compared to male.
[Bahasa]: Salah satu jenis sampah yang paling sulit terurai adalah sampah plastik. Hanya 5% dari sampah plastik yang didaur ulang dengan efektif, sementara 40% lainnya berakhir di Tempat Pembuangan Akhir (TPA) dan sisanya berakhir di ekosistem seperti lautan. Sampah plastik dapat menimbulkan pencemaran, baik di tanah, air, maupun udara. Pengelolaan seperti penggunaan kembali (reuse) atau daur ulang plastik (recycle) saja tidak cukup. Harus ada upaya untuk mengurangi penggunaan plastik. Melihat besarnya dampak dari pencemaran sampah plastik, maka diperlukan peran aktif seluruh elemen masyarakat. Berdasarkan survey awal di SDN Pejaten Timur 20 Pagi Jakarta Selatan, masih banyak siswa yang tidak membawa tumbler atau kotak makanan. Siswa cenderung mengkonsumsi makanan atau snack yang ditawarkan di kantin atau pedagang sekitar sekolah. Hal ini menyebabkan jumlah sampah plastik yang dihasilkan cukup tinggi. Sehingga dianggap perlu dilakukan edukasi tentang pengurangan penggunaan plastik sebagai wujud cinta lingkungan. Tujuan pengabdian masyarakat ini untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan siswa tentang pengurangan penggunaan plastik sebagai wujud cinta lingkungan. Metode yang dilakukan dalam kegiatan ini adalah community development dengan menggunakan edukasi sebagai cara untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan tentang pengurangan penggunaan plastik. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan tentang “Minim Plastik” setelah dilakukan edukasi di SDN Pejaten Timur 20 Pagi. Kegiatan ini efektif meningkatkan pengetahuan minim plastik sebagai upaya mewujudkan perilaku cinta lingkungan. Indeed, only 5 of the plastic waste is recycled effectively, 40% is dumped in landfills, and the remaining ends at ecosystem such as sea. Plastic can cause pollution, either in soil, water, or air. A waste management such as reuse or recycling is not enough. There must be efforts to reduce the use of plastic. Considering the magnitude of the impact of plastic waste pollution, the active role of all elements of society is needed. Based on the initial survey at SDN Pejaten Timur 20 Pagi, there are still many students who do not carry tumblers or lunch boxes. Students tend to consume food or snacks offered in canteens or traders around the school. This causes the amount of plastic waste produced is quite high. It is considered necessary to educate the students to reduce the use of plastic as an environmental action. The aims of this community service is to increase students' knowledge of reducing the use of plastic as an act of caring environment. The method used in this program was community development using education to increase knowledge of reducing the use of plastics. The results showed an increase in knowledge about "Minimal Plastic" at SDN Pejaten Timur 20 Pagi after the program. Former observation results at “X” Project find several unsafe behaviors such as not using personal protective equipment (PPE), smoking and jesting while working. The aim of the study is to determine the association between supervision and unsafe behavior in formwork workers of “X” project Bekasi City. This study used cross sectional design. Independent variable was supervision, whereas dependent variable was unsafe behavior. Study population involved all of the formwork workers (40 people). Data was collected through observation using guided checklist on JSA and interview using valid and reliable questionnaire. Data analysis was conducted by chi-square. The study results showed that 25 respondents (62.5%) say that supervision are lacking while 21 respondents (50.2%) perform unsafe behavior. P-value of 0.011 means that there is an association between supervision and unsafe behavior, while the prevalence ratio value of 2.550 with 95%CI of 1,056–6,155 imply that poor supervision has 2.550 higher risk on the occurrence of unsafe behavior in workers compared to better supervision. In conclusion, there is an association between supervision and unsafe behavior.
Reading has many benefits, one of which is opening the world. PISA research shows a low level of Indonesian literacy compared to countries in the world. Needs to be done to foster interest in reading from an early age and apply it to the community. Based on the initial survey, The Cililitan RPTRA has good facilities, such as the availability of a library room. The number of visitors to the library room is small. We can see that there is a low interest in reading at The Cililitan RPTRA visitors. This activity purpose to achieve a high interest in reading in The Cililitan RPTRA, East Jakarta. The method of activity is community development, encapsulated under the name of The Generation of Reading Fondness Program. Based on interviews with The Cililitan RPTRA visitors this program can increase reading interest. Socialization about the importance of reading needs to be done continuously. Other activities that can upgrade interest in reading such as storytelling and educational games. Procurement of books can be a solution to increase reading choices for visitors to The Cililitan RPTRA.
