Rendahnya mutu pendidikan di Indonesia salahsatu penyebabnya adalah minimnya sumber bahan ajar yangdapat dimanfaatkan, baik oleh mahasiswa maupun dosen.Bahan ajar yang tersedia saat ini masih konvensional danbelum dapat meningkatkan minat dan motivasi mahasiswauntuk mempelajarinya. Disamping itu, metode pembelajaranyang dipergunakan selama ini masih menggunakan metodekonvensional. Kondisi ini akan membuat kesulitan danketidakmandirian mahasiwa yang pada gilirannya akanmenyebabkan rendahnya mutu pendidikan. Bahan ajaryang tersedia saat ini masih konvensional dan belum dapatmeningkatkan minat belajar mahasiswa. Tersedianya sumberbelajar yang ekonomis, praktis dan sederhana, fleksibel,relevan, dan memiliki nilai positif akan mendukung kegiatanpembelajaran yang lebih efektif serta memudahkan mencapaitujuan pembelajaran. Salah satu alternatif pemecahanmasalah ini adalah dengan memanfaatkan TeknologiInformasi. Teknologi informasi (Information Technology)meliputi segala hal yang berkaitan dengan proses, penggunaansebagai alat bantu, manipulasi, dan pengelolaan informasiyang menggabungkan komputasi komputer dengan jalurkomunikasi berkecepatan tinggi yang membawa data, suara,dan gambar. Salah satu produk Teknologi Informasi, yaituaplikasi Sistem Pakar. Produk ini dapat mengintegrasikanantara teknologi komputer dengan pembelajaran, tidak hanyatekstual tapi juga visual. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untukmerancang dan mengembangkan Sistem Pakar, sedangkanmanfaat yang diharapkan dapat dijadikan salah satu alternatifdalam penyediaan bahan ajar Fisiologi Hewan. Penelitian inimerupakan penelitian Research and Development yang terdiriatas dua tahapan, yaitu proses pengembangan Sistem Pakardan analisis produk. Hasil uji validasi produk, menurut ahlimedia dan ahli materi secara umum aspek produk penelitianyang dikembangkan sudah layak. Sedangkan validasipengguna, secara umum mahasiswa sangat senang, mudahmemahami, dan mudah mengoperasikan Sistem Pakar.Tanggapan mahasiswa terhadap produk Sistem Pakar untukkategori Quality of end-user interface design termasuk dalamkriteria baik (56,24%), kategori Engagement termasuk dalamkriteria sangat baik (64,90%), kategori Interactivity termasukdalam kategori sangat baik (63,90%), dan kategoriTailorability termasuk dalam kriteria baik (52,29%). Secarakeseluruhan, hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa SistemPakar dapat diterapkan dan layak digunakan sebagai mediapembelajaran untuk mahasiswa Pendidikan Biologi.
Garut city is one of the cities that is densely packed with transportation, especially on public transportation. The problem is that there are still many people who do not understand the path that the public transportation passes, both in the city itself, outside the city and even foreign tourists. The purpose of developing this application is to find out where to go. In this study, researchers designed and built public transport transportation applications in the web-based city of Garut with the name Garut Anyar utilizing GIS technology in it. The application is useful for searching city transportation routes (Angkot) in Garut City so that users no longer feel difficulties in finding public transport to get to their destination, especially for migrants in Garut City. In addition, this application can display information about angkot routes so that it can add to the user’s insight. The conclusion obtained from this study is the Garut Anyar application was successfully built and useful for every user who has used this Garut Anyar application, which has been tested 100 times a trial from the RSU route to Banyuresmi as evidenced by an application testing questionnaire that gets good grades.
Communication is difficult for people with hearing impairments due to the limitations of their hearing senses. In addition to communicating using natural cues they can also use the Indonesian Language System Dictionary (Dictionary SIBI) published by the Ministry of Education in the form of print. Dictionary Electronic sign language is starting to be used a lot, of course electronic dictionaries are more effective and flexible compared to dictionaries in general (print). A more effective electronic dictionary is used in searching for the signals sought and because they are efficient and easy to use. The methodology that used for this article are qualitative descriptive methods. The design method of sign language electronic dictionaries used some phase in Unified Process. Use case, activity, class, and ER diagram are used to design sign language electronic dictionaries. This article discusses how to design the electronic sign language dictionary application for people with hearing impairments.
The purpose of this research is to create and develop learning media in the form of applications used for plant identification in The Division of Pinophyta. The approach used is conventional approach with Expert System Development Life Cycle (ESDLC) method from Durkin, the inference mechanism used is Forward Chaining, while the software, used for Data Base Management System (DBMS) is MySQL, Unified Modeling Language (UML), Personal Home Page (PHP). Based on the results of the application assessment test in general obtained results that this expert system application deserves to be used as a learning media with criteria for Quality of end-user interface design (55.5%), Engagement (52.3%), Interactivity (64.3 %) and Tailorability (52.4%). Conclusion, application made by Expert System Development Life Cycle (ESDLC) method, with Forward Chaining inference mechanism worthy to be used as a learning medium of plant identification in Divisio Pinophyta.
