Glycosylation of phenols with α -D -glucosaminyl chloride peracetate catalyzed by polyethylene glycol (PEG) was carried out in a solid-liquid phase transfer system at room temperature. The results were compared with those previously obtained for the catalysis with various crown ethers. The catalytic activity of PEG in this reaction was found to be comparable with those of 15-crown-5 and aromatic crown ethers.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
