The purpose of this study was to determine the problem-solving abilities of students in the class VIII C Junior High School 5 Salatiga. This type of research is Classroom Action Research. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that the application of the Think Talk Write strategy can improve mathematical problem solving abilities, it can be seen from the percentage of problem solving skills at the pre cycle by 38%, in cycle 1 by 40% and in cycle II by 85%. So that classically the problem-solving ability in the precycle to the first cycle and to the second cycle there is a significant increase and has the ability to solve problems in the low criteria increased to be quite increased to very high. As for the value of mathematics learning outcomes based on initial conditions before the research was conducted, students who achieved completeness were only 0% of the total number of students with an average of 38.5. In the first cycle after applying the Think Talk Write method, students who completed as many as 1 student or 3.125% with an average of 40.3125. In cycle II 32 students or 100% have been completed with an average class of 85.1875.
