Novel Imidazo[2,1-b][1,3,4]thiadiazole Carrying Rhodanine-3-acetic Acid as Potential Antitubercular Agents. -A simple, highly efficient, cost effective, and environmentally benign synthesis of the title compounds (IX) (7 examples) and related analogues (XI), (XIII) is developed using microwave technique. The compounds are screened for their in vitro antitubercular activity against M. tuberculosis H37Rv (ATCC 27294).
