Justificativa e objetivo: Na prevenção de eventos adversos associados às infecções da corrente sanguínea, a higienização das mãoes (HM) é uma das medidas prioritárias nos programas e ações de saúde destinada à segurança do paciente. Objetivou-se avaliar o desafio para a implementação dos bundles de prevenção da infecção sanguínea associada ao cateter venoso central. Métodos: Estudo quantitativo exploratório-descritivo, realizado na unidade de terapia intensiva de um hospital filantrópico do interior de Minas Gerais. A coleta de dados foi conduzida por observação direta de médicos, enfermeiros, técnicos de enfermagem e fisioterapeutas. Foram avaliadas as medidas de manutenção e de inserção de cateteres. As análises foram por meio de estatística descritiva e pelos testes χ² de Pearson. Resultados: apenas 35,29 % dos enfermeiros realizaram a higienização das mãos (HM) após troca de curativo do acesso central. Objetivo: identificar nas evidências disponíveis quais fatores maternos, profissionais e pessoais estão relacionados à realização do contato pele a pele mãe/filho na primeira hora de vida do recém-nascido e analisá-los de acordo com o que é recomendado pelo Ministério da Saúde e Organização Mundial de Saúde. Método: revisão integrativa com 19 artigos publicados entre os anos de 2014 e 2019 nas bases de dados MEDLINE, LILACS e SciELO, utilizando trabalhos disponíveis na íntegra. Resultados: foram criadas duas categorias de análise: fatores comportamentais e fatores fisiológicos. Conclusão: Os fatores associados ao contato pele-a-pele encontrados a partir dessa revisão foram: vínculo materno infantil, início e duração da amamentação, preparo da equipe atuante em sala de parto, parto vaginal, bem-estar materno e infantil no pós-parto imediato, termorregulação neonatal, redução de estresse e dor do binômio e prevenção de hemorragia no pós-parto.
