O professor, assim, não morre jamais..." Rubem Alves Esse trabalho é dedicado aos meus professores e aqui, ao mencionar alguns, acabo inevitavelmente omitindo outros. A esses, desculpo-me antecipadamente -o tamanho da gratidão a ser expressa em tão poucas linhas, bem como a falibilidade da memória, torna impossível cumprir a tarefa sem deixar lacunas. Dedico aos saudosos professores do Instituto São Tarcísio, na pessoa do meu querido professor de matemática "Jarbão" (que faleceu este ano causando enorme comoção em toda comunidade conquistense). Aos professores da Escola Bahiana de Medicina. Aos preceptores da residência médica, representados pelo Dr. Aroldo Bacellar e pelo Dr. Guilherme Valença. Ao Professor Dr. Andrew Lees e os professores do Queen Square Institute of Neurology, em Londres. Aos professores do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Ciências médicas na figura da Professora Dra. Laura Silveira-Moriyama. Ao Dr. João de Deus, a quem tive a sorte de ter como um "professor da medicina que não está nos livros" -que me ensina sobre os desafios da prática diária no consultório e sobre como exercer a medicina centrada no sujeito, com dignidade, respeito e sustentabilidade. Descendendo de uma família de professores, não poderia deixar de dedicar este trabalho a minha avó Helena, minha mãe Daisy e minha tia Maria Helena -todas professoras. Minha avó, na época já mãe de 06 filhos, concluiu seu curso de graduação viajando para uma cidade vizinha e aposentou-se na Universidade Estadual do Sudoeste da Bahia como professora e chefe do Departamento de Estudos Linguísticos e Literários (DELL). Minha mãe, que abandonou o estudo da medicina e carreira como funcionária do Banco do Brasil para se realizar como professora de inglês. E minha tia, ex-aluna de doutorado na Unicamp e hoje professora universitária no Canadá. AGRADECIMENTOS Sou extremamente grato à minha orientadora, a Professora Dra. Laura Silveira-Moriyama, cuja orientação próxima e aconselhamento crítico tornaram este projeto possível. Laura acompanha minha carreira desde o mestrado em Londres. O Acidente Vascular Cerebral (AVC) ou Encefálico decorre de um comprometimento neurológico focal diante de um fator isquêmico ou hemorrágico precipitante. Considerado o distúrbio neurológico mais incapacitante e a segunda causa de óbito no Brasil, entende-se a necessidade de saber identificar os primeiros sinais e sintomas, e manejar adequadamente os pacientes, na tentativa de reduzir as sequelas e a mortalidade dos mesmos. Nesse sentido, este relato de experiência objetiva compartilhar, com a comunidade acadêmica da área da saúde, a relevância de compreender como conduzir acertadamente o diagnóstico pré-hospitalar, o manejo terapêutico, a reabilitação, os cuidados paliativos e reconhecer os fatores de risco relacionados. Para além disso, o evento “Jornada do AVC”, organizado e realizado online através da plataforma do YouTube, em três dias, com palestrantes médicos de diferentes especialidades, contou com mais de 200 inscritos. Ainda, através das avaliações de impacto realizadas antes e após o evento, observou-se um conhecimento prévio inferior a 5, em uma escala de 0 a 10, acerca das temáticas abordadas, principalmente referente ao tópico de cirurgia vascular, excetuando as condições de risco do AVC. E no questionário posterior, a avaliação geral ficou superior a 90%, classificando acima de 5 em todas as temáticas abordadas. Dessa forma, conclui-se que a proposta da jornada contribuiu na capacitação acadêmica e profissional dos participantes, possibilitando atuar de forma benéfica no processo saúde-doença dessa patologia e na atenção à saúde.
Objetivo: Revisar na literatura a aplicação da musicoterapia como terapia adjuvante na Doença de Parkinson (DP). Métodos: Pesquisa exploratória e qualitativa, desenvolvida através da técnica de revisão de literatura integrativa, realizada por meio do banco de dados PUBMED, LILAC, MEDLINE, SCIELO e ACERVO + INDEX BASE. As palavras chave de busca utilizadas fora: “music therapy” e “Parkinson disease”. Dos 124 artigos apontados pela busca, 15 foram selecionados para o presente estudo considerando critérios de inclusão e exclusão previamente definidos. Os dados dos estudos selecionados foram organizados em tabela para comparação os resultados encontrados. Resultados: Dentre o universo amostral analisado analisou-se a influência da musicoterapia na motricidade, qualidade de vida, humor, cognição, inteligibilidade e padrões acústicos de fala em pacientes com DP, utilizando diversas ferramentas confiáveis, validas e sensíveis. Os dados encontrados corroboram pelo uso da musicoterapia no manejo da DP de forma a complementar a atual terapêutica farmacologia e promover uma melhor qualidade de vida para esses pacientes. Considerações finais: Impera-se a produção de mais ensaios clínicos randomizados, para corroborar tais dados e avaliar se esses efeitos se estendem a longo prazo e a pacientes com DP grave.
