In 2021, the COVID-19 epidemic affected many aspects of the provinces' socio-economic fields, especially deeply affecting businesses at enterprises. The task of ensuring social security continues with the management agencies, who need appropriate solutions and support policies to encourage and help enterprises return to production and trade after the quarantine society quickly. The basis for management theory has contributed to improving the competitive capability based on improving Total Quality Management (TQM), such as the "just in time" system. TQM aims to enhance the quality of products and satisfy customers to the best extent possible. The distinguishing feature of TQM from previous quality management methods is that it provides a comprehensive system for managing and improving all aspects related to quality and involves the participation of the public, every department, and every individual to achieve the set quality goals. The article's novelty identifies factors influencing total quality management and competitive capability of firms in Vietnam with one percent significance. Methods: The authors surveyed 650 managers at many enterprises in Vietnam. And the authors used a convenient sampling method. SPSS tools processed 589 samples to measure Cronbach's alpha, exploratory factor analysis (EFA), confirmation factor analysis (CFA), and test structural equation modeling (SEM). The authors proposed several recommendations to enhance the total quality management and competitive capability of firms. Doi: 10.28991/ESJ-2022-06-03-010 Full Text: PDF
Purpose: The study studies the factors affecting the quality of banking services of commercial banks, commercial bank branches operating in Vietnam. The authors proposed policy implications based on research results that improve the quality of commercial banking services. Theoretical framework: Service quality measurement is difficult because of its characteristics: intangibility, heterogeneity, and inseparability. The concept of service quality has been researched and developed in many recent decades through customer satisfaction. Design/methodology/approach: The authors conducted quantitative research in 2 phases. Phase 1 is a preliminary quantitative study: collecting data to check the reliability of the scales in the research model and completed in October 2022. Phase 2 is the official quantitative research: collecting data on a large scale after building and perfecting the appropriate scales, to be carried out from November to February 2023. Processing data by statistical methods, analyzing EFA and CFA, using the structural equation model analysis (SEM) method to test the fit of models and hypotheses with SPSS 20.0 software and Amos. Findings: The article’s findings showed that technology factors affect commercial banks’ service quality in Vietnam. At the same time, it introduces some changes in Vietnamese banks in the context of current technological breakthroughs. Research, Practical & Social implications: Practical implications enhanced the service quality of commercial banks in the context of digital technology breakthroughs. The amount of information that can be encoded and the tools were available to process it has increased dramatically. Originality/value: The paper’s originality and value help bank managers invest in digital technology as the way forward to better serve their customers. Besides, the article has systematized the theory of service quality and factors affecting the quality of commercial banking services.
Agricultural sector plays a strategic role in the process of economic development of a developing country such as Vietnam. It has already made a significant contribution to the economic prosperity of advanced and developing countries and its role in the economic development of less developed countries is of vital importance. We can see that increase in agricultural production and the rise in the per capital income of the rural community, together with the industrialization and urbanization, lead to an increased demand in industrial production. Besides, agricultural developments are not alternatives but are complementary and are mutually supporting with respect to both inputs and outputs. The agriculture sector is the backbone of an economy which provides the basic ingredients to mankind and now raw material for industrialization. The study results showed that there were 400 persons (include: 200 managers of enterprises, 170 farmers, 30 experts) related to agricultural sector in Dong Nai province who interviewed and answered about 17 questions. The Data collected from June2016 to April 2017. This study had been analyzed Cronbach's Alpha testing used for the next research. Persons' responses measured through an adapted questionnaire on a 5-point Likert scale (Conventions: 1: Completely disagree, 2: Disagree, 3: Normal; 4: Agree; 5: completely agree). Hard copy and online questionnaire distributed among 200.000 persons related to agricultural sector in Dong Nai province. The Data processed by SPSS 20.0.
Vietnam's banking system has undergone many historical development stages. The development stages all pose requirements for the respective human resource requirements. Over the past time and now, commercial banks have developed characteristics such as: being a key component in the financial system; speedy growth in scale; products in the infancy stage have not high technology content; competitiveness and asset quality are not high. The issue of human resource management is of particular importance to an organization. No organization's activities can be practical without human resource management. Human resource management is the cause of success or failure in business activities. The fundamental goal of any organization is to effectively use human resources to achieve the organization's goals, including Vietnamese commercial banks, especially in the current context of competition and international integration. The authors tested descriptive statistics from 200 persons working for many commercial banks in Vietnam. The results showed that the current situation of human resource management at commercial banks is at a lower level. Thus, it is necessary to have studied and propose solutions to improve human resource management at commercial banks.
