Conclusion This book has brought an overview of main classification methods in the context of six important kinds of internet applications: spam filtering, recommender systems, sentiment analysis, example-based web search, malware detection, and network intrusion detection. Those kinds of applications have occurred in the book in two roles: In the first chapter, a survey of all of them has been given, at the same time indicating why classification is needed for each of them. Then in Chaps. 2-6, particular internet applications of the explained classification methods have been reviewed. Due to the fast development of internet in general and of the considered applications in particular, the parts of the book concerning them won't stay up-to-date for a longer time. However, the principles of the presented classification methods will, as well as their applicability to the considered internet applications. Moreover, we expect that more advanced and more general versions of classification methods can come into use in such applications in the future. Therefore, the book has included a number of advanced and general modifications of the presented methods, even if some of them cannot be witnessed by particular internet applications yet.
