Under the background of cultural and tourism integration, this paper sorts out the coupling and coordination mechanism of cultural and creative industries and tourism industries, and then takes Shenzhen as the research area to explore the coupling and coordination development of these two industries from 2008 to 2017 by using the coupling coordination model. Meanwhile, it applies the grey correlation model to further study the main driving factors of the coupling and coordination of these two industries. Conclusions are drawn as follows: cultural and creative industries and tourism industries develop in an interactive and coupling way, and the former empowers the latter's creativity while the latter provides platform support for the former. The comprehensive development level of the two industries is rising rapidly and in good condition, but the tourism industry began to decline in 2016 and has been overtaken by cultural and creative industries. There is a significant coupling development relationship between these two industries, and the degree of coupling coordination still has possibility for improvement. The main driving forces for the coupling and coordination of the two industries are the added value of cultural and creative industries as a proportion of the city's GDP and tourism foreign exchange income, followed by the number of cultural and creative industries parks (bases), travel agencies and other industrial factors and employees.
Long-distance collective walking is a popular activity in cities across China. However, related research is limited, creating a research gap to explore participants’ dynamic experience and related influential factors. Therapeutic mobilities theory explores the relationships among walking, health, and well-being from a qualitative perspective. Based on therapeutic mobilities theory, following a systematic process, this study develops a scale to quantitatively estimate the perceived environmental, personal, and social factors that may influence health and well-being. By applying construal level theory, this paper further hypothesizes that personality traits and familiarity moderate environmental, personal, and social perceptions. Data were collected with a paper survey (n = 926) from the “Shenzhen 100 km Walking” event. The findings highlight that long-distance collective walkers have comparatively greater experiences of health and well-being in three aspects: positive social interaction, individual development, and environmental understanding. Personality traits, familiarity, and gender moderate this well-being experience. Theoretical and managerial implications are discussed.
The research data show that more than 90% of the exhibition visitors are atypical visitors who have no obvious purchase intention, and there are few researches on atypical visitors. Data were collected from the atypical visitors of China Hi-Tech Fair 2019 and selected through questionnaire investigation. This study aims to discuss the influence of atypical visitors' interactive learning on the exhibition brand equity with the methods of literature analysis and empirical study. The findings can provide some supplements for theoretical exploration and practical management.
Compared to official sports mega events, grassroots sports events are attractive to participants because of their universality, accessibility, and casual nature. Taking the Shenzhen 100 km Hikathon as an example, this study investigates the effect of grassroots sports events on sustainable development in migrant cities through residents’ perceptions of such events, and how these affect support. We collected 59 questionnaires in a pre-survey and 612 surveys for formal analysis, and used SPSS and AMOS software to construct a structural equation model. The results indicate that the Hikathon’s popularity, low media impact, small scale of investment and construction, and short duration had fewer negative effects and was beneficial to sustainable development for the migrant city. Residents perceived more positive benefits (improved city image and economic, environmental and cultural benefits) and less negative costs (environmental and traffic costs), which lead to broader support for such events. Among residents’ sociodemographic characteristics, only age was found to moderate the relationship between perceived effects and support. The findings suggest that residents generally perceive grassroots sports events positively, especially in migrant cities, such as Shenzhen, where community events are considered to serve an important role in the construction of place identity.
