In this article, a compact microstrip tri‐band bandpass filter based on a rectangular ring resonator (RRR) and two triangular patch resonators is presented. This filter is designed to operate at 3.5, 5.2, and 8 GHz for WiMAX, wireless local area network (WLAN), and satellite applications respectively. Also, the center frequencies of the first and second passband can be flexibly controlled by tuning the dimensions of RRR. The fabricated triband band pass filter has merits of compact size, low insertion loss, and suitable stopband. Good agreement between simulated and measured results is observed.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
