Este estudo tem como objetivo analisar na literatura o histórico sobre a atuação do enfermeiro (a) para a doença diabetes mellitus, bem como discutir suas prováveis causas. Para isso, foi realizada uma revisão integrativa da literatura, realizada na base de dados scielo, bvs e google acadêmico. Como resultados, encontramos a adesão do tratamento da dm, que há indivíduos que possuem conhecimento sobre a doença e outros não, talvez pela falta de orientações eficazes dos profissionais e consequentemente as complicações surgem. São necessários novos estudos, principalmente na lacuna de educação em saúde a pacientes portadores de dm e sobre os seus benefícios, e que estes não acabam no momento da consulta, e quanto aos profissionais é importante que haja uma capacitação continuada sobre o assunto, com o intuito de melhorar cada dia mais os cuidados ofertados a esse público.
A pesquisa teve por objetivo investigar as dificuldades encontradas pelos enfermeiros da estratégia de saúde da família para a realização do apoio matricial. Tratou-se de uma pesquisa de campo de cunho descritivo e exploratório, empregando técnicas da pesquisa qualitativa, usando como instrumento de coleta de dados a entrevista semiestruturada. Realizou-se a entrevista audiogravada com quatro enfermeiras da Estratégia Saúde da Família do município de Axixá do Tocantins e uma enfermeira do CAPS de Sítio Novo do Tocantins. Esta pesquisa foi aprovada pelo Comitê de Ética em Pesquisa da UNITINS, sob o parecer 3.044.554 de vinte e oito de novembro de dois mil e dezoito. A coleta de dados ocorreu entre os meses de dezembro de dois mil e dezoito e fevereiro de dois mil e dezenove. Para obtenção dos resultados utilizou-se do método de análise de conteúdo e categorização. Com a realização dessa pesquisa foi possível analisar as dificuldades para o matriciamento, o trabalho em rede entre as equipes de Estratégia Saúde da Família e CAPS e conhecimento das enfermeiras sobre saúde mental. Inferiu-se com esse estudo que a rede de saúde está falha e o matriciamento tem enfrentado dificuldades para sua efetivação e isso reflete diretamente na qualidade da assistência.
