Objetivo: Realizar uma revisão de literatura, com o levantamento dos relatos de casos descrevendo os sintomas, história médica e odontológica e a condição oral avaliada nos pacientes com infecções onde Streptococcus gordonii foi identificado como agente etiológico. Métodos: A busca bibliográfica foi realizada nas bases de dados PubMed, SciELO e LILACS, com as palavras-chave “streptococcus gordonii” e “infection”. Com artigos publicados nos últimos 10 anos. Resultados: Dos 32 relatos incluídos na revisão, 21 relataram endocardite, 2 espondilodiscite, 3 artrites sépticas, 1 bacteremia, 1 osteoartrite, 1 abscesso mamário, 1 abscesso na região do quadril, 1 enfisema torácico, 1 tromboflebite, 1 granuloma palpebral ulcerativo, 1 aneurisma micótico. Apenas 8 realizaram exame, ou avaliação da condição oral dos pacientes e 7 coletaram dados referentes à história odontológica pregressa. Conclusão: De acordo com a revisão realizada, quadros infecciosos associados ao S. gordonii são considerados incomuns. Se tratando de um microrganismo comumente isolado em cavidade oral, a investigação sobre tratamentos odontológicos prévios pode ser um fator que contribuiria para o diagnóstico. Todavia, em decorrência do número reduzido de informações sobre a condição oral do paciente e a falta de investigações mais aprofundada, não pôde ser possível concluir a associação da presença de infecções orais como fator de risco para o desenvolvimento de doenças invasivas pelo S. gordonii.
