The paper summarizes the results of simulation of gas reinjection scenarios (ЉcyclingЉ) for gas condensate deposits in the deep Achimov formation of Urengoyskoye Field having 1 md permeability and pressure of 600 bar. The compositional simulation runs were performed for nominal element of one of the Achimov stratum. After that, the technological feasibility of each option evaluated, using conceptual design of gas compression system. An extensive feasibility study of cycling options with the analysis of the sensitivity of the results to macroeconomic scenarios was performed, as well as the different ways to determine the effectiveness of the projects. The results of calculations confirmed the low economic efficiency of cycling.During the works we have developed the linkages between simulation results of the flows in the reservoir and wells with accompanying infrastructure parameters and the economy as a single integrated model. To do this, a separate post-processing module was developed, which (a) determines additional parameters of the gas infrastructure required for gas re-injection and (b) provides the economic efficiency evaluation with the ability to use a variety of macroeconomic scenarios. These results can be used to justify the methods and technologies for the development of other gas condensate deposits.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
