MÉTODO DE TRABALHOO levantam ento de parasitos in testi nais, que deveria realizar-se apenas na área denom inada Cruzeiro que inclue, no todo ou em parte, as Vilas São Lourenço, Rute, M aria e B ernadete, foi estendido à área identificada como M atadouro, lim i tad a pelas ruas Tamoio, Dr. Freitas e Vinte e Um de Abril, por terem sido n a mesm a, d u ran te a Jorn ad a, localizados terrenos com coleções d 'água ricas em planorbídeos e que são freqüentadas por crianças.Inquérito realizado duran te a Jo rnada identifica Cruzeiro como área de baixas condições sócio-econôm icas, desprovida de redes de água e esgoto, e M atadouro com níveis social e econômico m ais elevados, servida por redes de esgoto e água e com as ruas calçadas.
