Résumé Si le Mouvement pour la libération de l’avortement et de la contraception (MLAC) est désormais bien analysé dans ses déclinaisons nationales et parisiennes, l’histoire de ses groupes locaux demeure relativement méconnue. Pourtant, ces derniers permettent de comprendre de façon concrète comment les pratiques illégales de l’avortement s’organisaient dans les villes françaises dans les années 1968, et sur quels réseaux ils ont pu s’appuyer, ce que cet article tente d’appréhender à travers les exemples de Dijon et Saint-Étienne. Par là, de nouveaux acteurs et actrices du mouvement apparaissent, certains ayant eu recours aux « services » du MLAC, d’autres gravitant en périphérie des noyaux militants. De fait, ces luttes mobilisent des femmes mais aussi des hommes, et présentent un caractère de masse.
