Los estudiantes de la Universidad del Azuay, siempre han tenido roles importantes en la vida académica institucional, pero en esta ocasión tuvieron el rol protagónico. Absoluto. Pues si bien el Congreso forma parte de las actividades del Programa de Ética de la Universidad, y tiene un espacio específico en esa planificación general y recibió por lo tanto el respaldo de autoridades, profesores y personal administrativo institucional, su participación como organizadores, ponentes y responsables de los últimos tramos que permiten llegar a esta anhelada publicación de sus Memorias, fue insustituible y decisiva. Ellos tienen todo el mérito, pues trabajaron con denuedo desde que se anunció, con un año de anticipación, que se realizaría el evento. Coordinaron con universidades nacionales y extranjeras la presencia de otros jóvenes como ellos, estudiantes de esos centros de educación superior, para que escriban y presenten sus ponencias. Lo hicieron con universidades locales, chilenas, brasileñas, mexicanas y estadounidenses, logrando la participación de veinte y ocho jóvenes en los ejes temáticos arriba mencionados. Organizaron para los estudiantes locales procesos de formación específicos sobre escritura académica, oratoria e investigación científica, que fueron asumidos por profesores de la Universidad del Azuay, con el fin de garantizar la seriedad y calidad del evento. Son los responsables directos de la exitosa realización del Congreso en noviembre de dos mil veinte y uno.
