El presente trabajo de titulación se realizó con el propósito de determinar la influencia del contexto familiar dentro de la problemática de abuso sexual en niños y niñas, ya sea como culpables o alivio terapéutico. Según la OMS (2003) en la actualidad el abuso sexual es definido como conductas sexuales mantenidas entre dos o más personas, en las que existe un contexto de desigualdad y en la que la víctima es utilizada como medio de estimulación sexual del agresor, se debe tomar en cuenta que la violación es meramente la forma más violenta de abuso sexual conocida. Dentro de las conductas que forman parte del contexto de abuso sexual podemos identificar las siguientes: 1. Contacto físico: genital, bucal o anal. 2. Uso de la víctima como objeto de relajación sexual. 3. Uso de la víctima como objeto de estimulación de terceros: producción de pornografía o manteniendo relaciones sexuales. Durante esta época de modernidad se ha podido comprobar que el abuso sexual infantil y adolescente no solo es el más común, sino que también es el crimen más grave contra los niños en todo el mundo. Según la OMS (2003) el abuso sexual contra menores de edad también incluiría maltrato y vejaciones, tanto físicas como emocionales. Uno de los principales problemas que se encuentran al tratar con el abuso sexual es que no se ha terminado de identificar los factores psicosociales que se relacionan con la problemática, aunque se ha podido saber que este fenómeno comúnmente se desenvuelve en el entorno familiar de las víctimas. La investigación fue realizada mediante el uso de varias herramientas de recolección de información, facilitando el análisis y organización de la misma, mediante el empleo de una metodología cualitativa que permite la observación, comprensión y descripción objetiva de la problemática antes mencionada.
