Language in Tanzania (hereafter LT) is a report by the Tanzania team of the Survey of Language Use and Language Teaching in Eastern Africa, financed by the Ford Foundation, and carried out in 1969-1971. Because of the long delay between the research and the appearance of the book, some of the results of the survey have already been published in other places.
