Dear Editor,We would like to correspond on the publication "Interpersonal Trust Matters: Factors Associated With COVID-19 Vaccine Hesitancy in South Korea." 1 Interpersonal trust reduces reluctance, according to Jang, who also emphasizes the necessity of trust building. Because vaccine apprehension is induced by a multitude of factors, we believe that trust creation could assist in improving vaccination acceptability. On the contrary, fear of the COVID-19 vaccine is a serious issue with numerous causes. Reluctance patterns may vary over time, as a recent Hong Kong article 2 reveals. Fear has been linked to outbreak conditions as well as vaccine efficacy and safety findings. 3 A long-term monitoring study should be conducted to determine the acceptability of the COVID-19 vaccination.
