Cette contribution s’appuie sur l’observation en immersion d’un collectif d’ouvriers qui s’est engagé dans la lutte pour sauver son usine avec pour projet de la reprendre en scop . Cette lutte – et donc la période d’observation – aura duré onze mois (d’avril 2016 à mars 2017). Cette situation observée et analysée par le prisme des concepts et méthodologies de la clinique du travail a permis de révéler que ce passage d’un modèle à un autre n’est pas franc. Sous une apparente union collective, l’idéal démocratique visé ici – c’est-à-dire le modèle participatif de la scop – n’est peut-être pas un objet d’union toujours suffisamment fort pour absorber d’emblée les défaillances du système classique dont on sort. Cet article propose l’analyse de ce phénomène et pose la question de l’accompagnement de ces collectifs en transition vers des modèles organisationnels plus démocratiques.
