El siguiente trabajo investigativo partió de un enfoque cuantitativo y comparativo, realizado en Quito- Ecuador, tuvo como objetivo valorar el perfil de cuidadoras por medio de la aplicación del Test CUIDA para descubrir y comparar rasgos e indicadores de la personalidad, así como variables afectivas y cognitivas relacionadas al cuidado de otros entre dos grupos clasificados de la siguiente manera: madres con hijos/as que culminaron o mantienen procesos psicoterapéuticos y madres de niños/as o adolescentes sin intervención psicológica. La investigación constó de dos partes fundamentales, en la primera se evaluó el perfil de las 34 cuidadoras entre 22 y 58 años mediante el Cuestionario para la Evaluación de Adoptantes, Cuidadores, Tutores y Mediadores, adicionalmente se aplicó una encuesta para conocer sobre la madre y su hijo/a, de esta manera se facilitó la clasificación en dos grupos “A” y “B”. Posteriormente se comparó los perfiles mediante el programa estadístico “Statistical Product and Service Solutions” (SPSS) para determinar diferencias de rasgos de personalidad y habilidades parentales, donde se encontró el posible perfil de las cuidadoras de cada grupo y posteriormente en la comparación se encontró 9 de 14 factores primarios, 3 de 3 factores secundarios y en el factor de agresividad valores estadísticamente significativos.
