En este texto examino los usos y efectos de las imágenes digitales difundidas por los “grupos de secuencias” en Cali (Colombia), una oferta de música en vivo acompañada con grabaciones electrónicas (secuencias) que reemplazan a otros músicos. Se trata de una producción ciborgs de sonoridades humanas-artificiales heterónoma articulada a las lógicas de la “copia” de la globalización popular. Argumento que las imágenes y la relevancia de la visualidad agencian la humanización de las secuencias mediante la gestión de las emociones buscadas en la performance. Del mismo modo, los creadores de las secuencias intentan impregnar de calidez el sonido. Las imágenes en la comunicación online, además de ser publicitarias, tejen solidaridad entre colegas de un oficio inestable. Me baso en una etnografía en la que participé como flautista e investigadora.
En el presente artículo analizo cómo se agencian los significados y las disputas en las fugas o jugas, una expresión que oscila entre un ritual afrocatólico y un baile-música de la gente negra que habita el sur del valle geográfico del río Cauca (Colombia). Sostengo que las fugas/jugas están basadas en una epistemología y una ontología que articulan políticas-saberes-afectos que construyen lo que denomino alianzas sónicas, las cuales invitan a la participación más allá de fronteras étnico-raciales y humanas para la expansión del mundo, en performances donde se traban luchas y negociaciones cosmopolíticas. Parto de mi experiencia etnográfica desde el campo interdisciplinar de las (etno)musicologías, en diálogo con la antropología de la danza, la antropología de la performance y los estudios afrodiaspóricos.
ResumenEn el presente texto señalo los puntos de encuentro y diferencias fundamentales en las ideas de cultura y valores de los sociólogos clásicos Durkheim y Weber. En primer lugar, expongo las ideas de ambos autores a partir del análisis de su obra en su contexto histórico y en diálogo con relecturas contemporáneas de los dos clásicos, identificando sus sentidos. Subrayo la relación de las nociones de cultura y valores con otras relevantes en el pensamiento de cada uno, tales como moral, valores ideales y civilización en Durkheim; y significación cultural, ethos y racionalización en Weber. Después, apunto las convergencias y desencuentros en las nociones de cultura y valores. Finalmente, argumento que en las teorizaciones de ambos sociólogos clásicos existe la semilla de una perspectiva para comprender la pluralidad axiológica y las tensiones entre sujeto y sociedad en los contextos multiculturales y globalizados contemporáneos.Palabras clave: sociología clásica.
