Objetivo: Caracterizar o perfil dos usuários e os motivos de procura por serviços não hospitalares fixos de urgência e emergência em um município paulista. Métodos: Estudo com abordagem quantitativa, transversal e descritivo. Foram analisadas 410.977 fichas de atendimento referentes ao ano de 2017, coletadas dos registros do Sistema de Prontuário Eletrônico, por meio do software R (R Core Team). Resultados: Verificou-se o seguinte perfil de usuários: mulheres jovens, na faixa etária de 20 a 29 anos, que buscam por atendimento principalmente durante os dias da semana e nos períodos matutino e vespertino. Os motivos mais prevalentes de procura foram queixas agudas relacionadas ao sistema respiratório e reavaliação com exames. Foram classificados com baixo risco de gravidade 95,71% dos atendimentos. Conclusão: Neste estudo evidenciou-se que o perfil dos usuários nos SUE não hospitalares investigados, é predominantemente do sexo feminino e adultos jovens, tendo como maior procura por atendimento no início da semana, por queixas respiratórias e reavaliação de exames. Destaca-se a alta prevalência de atendimentos de baixa complexidade demonstrando os desafios em relação ao papel proposto e o de fato exercido pelos SUE na RAU, assim como às dificuldades de articulação entre os componentes.
