Resumen: La operación LTE en bandas de espectro sin licencia, basada en el Acceso Asistido con Licencia (LAA), se considera como una opción para aumentar la capacidad de las redes inalámbricas 4G. Estas soluciones utilizan un protocolo Listen Before Talk (LBT) que permite que el eNodeB (eNB) acceda de manera oportunista al medio, evitando colisiones desde / hacia otros eNBs. Sin embargo, el problema del nodo oculto en el contexto de las redes LAA debe abordarse para reducir o evitar la degradación de la red. La identificación de nodos ocultos y la decisión posterior de si el equipo de usuario (UE), afectado por una condición oculta, debe permanecer o debe cambiar de una banda sin licencia a una con licencia es una cuestión que mejorará la eficiencia de la red. En este trabajo, utilizamos dos técnicas de aprendizaje automático supervisado para determinar si los UE ubicados en la celda de borde están afectados por nodos ocultos; para ellos empleamos parámetros estándar obtenidas del UE para entrenar una regresión logística y una red neuronal, para detectar cuándo el UE se ve afectado por colisiones debido a la presencia de nodos ocultos. Los resultados muestran que la red neuronal tiene una exactitud perfecta como detector de UE frente a nodos ocultos.
Este trabajo presenta un método para la detección de nodos ocultos y la estimación de la carga de la celda vecina en redes heterogéneas Licensed Assisted Access (LAA)/WiFi. El método emplea la distribución estadística de la métrica Channel Quality Indicator (CQI) presente en redes LTE permitiendo obtener los objetivos señalados.
