Synthesis and Antimicrobial Activity of Novel 1,5-Benzodiazepines. -The title compounds (III) are obtained by CdCl2-catalyzed reaction of acetoacetanilides with o-phenylenediamine under conventional heating as well as microwave irradiation conditions.
