Concentrationsof 11 trace elements-scandium, lanthanum, cerium, europium, thorium, rubidium, cesium, strontium, iron, zinc, and cobalt-have been detcrmincd by activation analysis in two tunicates.Their concentration factors were calculated and are discussed in relation to radioccology and to seawater pollution with radionuclides. The treatment of samples and the radiochemical procedure are described.
