Glaucoma is a global public health concern and in Pakistan we need an effective country wide response to ensure our residents receive the care they deserve. The term glaucoma or more precisely the glaucomas, refers to a group of disorders which have in common an intraocular pressure (IOP) sensitive optic neuropathy in association with ganglion cell loss and visual field defects.1In comparison to other Asian subregions, South Central Asia is expected to have the largest growth in glaucoma cases from 2013 to 2040, from 17.06 million to 32.90 million.2
