SummaryThe new compounds MnGeO,, PeGeO, and, CoGeO, are described. They can be prepared in well-formed crystals b y transport reactions. These germanates belong to the same space group as the pyroxenes enstatite and clinoenstatite, respectively, and are possibly isotypical with these. The powder diagrams are given. Preparative and x-ray methods give evidence of complete miscibility in the solid state between FeGeO, and MgGeO,, wherea.s FeGeO, and FeSiO, do not form mixed crystals.
