Das erste bekannte Cycloazaphosphan, (PC6H5)4N(c‐C6H11) (1) wird durch Reaktion der Dikaliumphenylphosphide K — (PC6H5)n—K (n = 3, 4) mit N, N‐Dichlor‐cyclohexylamin im Unterschuß erhalten. Daneben entstehen beträchtliche Mengen an (PC6H5)5 sowie gelegentlich etwas (PC6H5)4 und (PC6H5)6. 1 kann als thermisch relativ beständige, aber lichtempfindliche Verbindung in 12% iger Ausbeute rein isoliert werden. Die Charakterisierung erfolgte durch Elementaranalyse, Massenspektrum, Kernresonanz‐ und Molekülschwingungsspektren. Die Phenylsubstituenten benachbarter Phosphoratome sind trans‐ständig zueinander angeordnet.
Bei der Reaktion von K(R)P—P(R)K mit N, N‐Dihalogenaminen konnten keine eindeutigen Hinweise auf die Bildung von Azadiphosphiranen mit P2N‐Dreiringgerüst gefunden werden.
