Synthesis and Biological Evaluation of Mannich Bases of Benzimidazole Derivatives. -Several compounds display an effective anti-inflammatory and analgesic response. There is no significant difference in bioactivity of benzimidazoles (IV) derived from primary and secondary amines, respectively. -(MARIAPPAN*, G.; BHUYAN, N. R.; KUMAR, P.; KUMAR, D.; MURALI, K.; Indian J. Chem., Sect. B: Org. Chem.
Synthesis and Cytotoxic Evaluation of Some Carbohydrazones andThiocarbohydrazones of Various Unsaturated Ketones and Related Mannich Bases. -The title hydrazones (I)-(III) are synthesized from the corresponding 1-aryl-1-penten-3-ones to investigate their cytotoxicity against several tumor cell lines. Structures (Ib)-(Ie) show significantly high cytotoxic activity and therefore represent novel lead molecules for subsequent developments. -(DIMMOCK, J. R.; KUMAR, P.; ALLEN, T. M.; KAO, G. Y.; HALLERAN, S.; BALZARINI, J.; DE CLERCQ, E.; Pharmazie 52 (1997) 3, 182-186; Coll. Pharm. Nutr., Univ. Sask., Saskatoon, Sask. S7N 5C9, Can.; EN)
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
