Abstract. The crest values of overvoltages appearing at the transformer terminals are limited by surge arresters to the level determined by the insulation coordination. Those values are much higher than maximum nominal voltage. Overvoltages are transferred through transformers and propagate along supplying lines. Transient phenomena in transformers and lines have influence on shapes and maximal values of overvoltages. Analysis of overvoltages transferred through transformers and propagated in experimental system modeling typical part of electrical distribution network are presented in the paper. Wartości maksymalne and resonant frequency overvoltages generated by surge voltage with short time to the crest nad sinusoidal signal in wide frequency have been determined (Influence of steepness for voltage strokes on propagation of overvoltages in transformers).Słowa kluczowe: przepięcia, transformatory, rdzeń amorficzny, wpływ stromości.
