In water reservoirs, the size and characteristics of fish, in the first place, affect – the composition and clarity of food objects, the number of food competitors and predators, their numbers, industry, and others. Besides, the rate of linear and weight growth are the arteries that determine the value of the species as an object of commercial fishing. The hybrid of silver and bighead carp easily adapts to different growing conditions (from the point of view of the formation of fish-biological indicators), protein in different years depending on feeding conditions, in one reservoir indicators of length and body weight of ribs are inadequate. Evaluating the influence of feeding conditions on the linear growth of the rib, the method of generalized evaluation was used. An indicator equal to the sum of potential fish productivity for phyto-zooplankton was used to characterize the foraging status of a particular condition in a certain period. In terms of the quality of growth indicators, the indicator of the absolute weight of nature with differentiation of farms, age groups, and years was used. The results of the research revealed significant variability in the size and weight characteristics of different groups of silver and bighead carp, which were isolated from ponds and reservoirs. According to the results of experimental studies established for the cultivation of hybrid silver and bighead carp in reservoirs, relatively high rates of linear and weight growth are expected, higher than for similar species, which is provided in the conditions of fish ponds.
The growth of man-caused load on natural objects, including surface waters, gave impetus to the studying for issue of water pollution in Ukraine by various pollutants. Especially relevant for us are the studies of fishery reservoirs as a direct environment for growing quality aquaculture products. Among the toxic compounds contained in reservoirs, one of the first places is occupied by heavy metals. On the one hand, heavy metals, as pollutants in natural waters, pose a great danger because even in relatively small concentrations they can adversely affect aquatic organisms. On the other hand, in microquantities most heavy metals (except mercury, cadmium and lead) are a natural and even essential component of living cells of aquatic organisms, including fish [17,19].Zn, Mn, Fe, Cu, Pb, Co, Ni, Cd in the organs and tissues of the bighead carphybrid form, which was cultivated in ponds from highly urbanized territory, are distributed heterogeneously and their level of content depends not only on the physical and chemical characteristics of the aquatic environment or this heavy metals biochemical activities force in fish organisms, but also on functional features of concrete organs and tissues of the latter. Results of our investigations showed that above mentioned heavy metals were characterised by high levels of content in the organs and tissues of hybrid silver x bigheadcarp. Highest content in organism of hybrid are lead, cobalt, and cadmium. Highest concentration of heavy metals in our investigations was recorded in gills, because it is the first defence line of fish organism from environmental pollutants.

The purpose of the work was to conduct a morphobiological analysis of tench from two reservoirs of the Sumy (2011) and Chernihiv (2012) regions, which, according to certain characteristics, are similar. It can be argued that out of 24 signs belonging to the body, 14 signs and 7 signs on the head differ the most. Features that differ the most in terms of body parameters: body length, which is greater in the Sumy tench than in Chernihiv, antianal distance, pectroventral and ventroanal distance, length of the base of the fins – dorsal, pectoral, abdominal and caudal. In turn, tench from the reservoirs of Chernihiv region prevailed over tench from Sumy region according to such indicators as the length of the tail stalk, the height of the dorsal fin and the length of the base of the anal fin, and the length of the head. In relation to the head, the tench from Sumy region prevails over Chernihiv region in terms of: snout length, extraocular distance, forehead width, head height, height of the head near the back of the head, and, conversely, the tench from Chernihiv region prevails over the tench from Sumy region only in terms of eye diameter. Tench from the reservoir of the Sumy region has a longer body length, displaced dorsal and anal fins to the tail stem, enlarged pectoral, abdominal and tail fins, which indicates a more mobile lifestyle. The head, although smaller, is more adapted for finding food. The tench from the Chernihiv region has a more elongated tail stem, the height of the dorsal and anal fins, which indicates that it is more settled and moves around the pond seasonally, the head is larger, but the diameter of the eye is also large, which indicates that the tench is on greater depth than the tench from the reservoir of the Sumy region.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
