Ce travail est une mise à l’épreuve de l’hypnose dans un contexte hospitalier auprès de sujets atteints de cancer. À partir de l’analyse de quatre rencontres, nous avons souhaité mettre en exergue des problématiques fréquemment travaillées en oncologie et proposer une démarche à visée heuristique. Ainsi, nous avons utilisé des méthodologies hypnotiques, d’inductions et des scripts, selon les indications issues de la clinique. Par la rencontre avec David, nous avons expérimenté l’hypnose dans le champ de la douleur. Avec Nathalie, nous avons focalisé la pratique sur des symptômes psychosomatiques comme la nausée et le suivi psychologique avec Loan a intégré le travail de l’hypnose sur l’angoisse en soins palliatifs. La douleur, les nausées psychogènes ou l’angoisse représentaient des points de butée de notre pratique clinique qui ont été dépassés par l’utilisation de l’hypnose comme un outil thérapeutique à disposition. Mme T., avec sa pratique de l’autohypnose, illustre une cicatrisation grâce aux représentations hypnotiques de son corps. Nous avons également discuté des indications, des scripts utilisés et de l’évaluation des effets observés.
