Bu çalışmanın amacı, Türkiye’de “Birleştirilmiş Sınıf” kapsamında yapılan lisansüstü tezleri, üniversite, araştırma konusu, araştırma yöntemi, çalışma grubu, katılımcı sayısı, veri toplama araçları ve araştırma önerileri açısından incelemektir. Bu amaç doğrultusunda, 2006-2019 yılları arasında “Birleştirilmiş Sınıf” bağlamında yapılan 47 lisansüstü tez çalışması (iki doktora, 45 yüksek lisans) üzerinde betimsel içerik analiz yapılmıştır. Toplam 47 lisansüstü tez çalışması MaxQda 12 programı ile analiz edilmiş ve en çok 2019 yılında tez çalışması yapıldığı (n=14) belirlenmiştir. Ayrıca, 26 farklı üniversitede yapılan lisansüstü tezlerin en çok Atatürk Üniversitesinde (n=6) hazırlandığı tespit edilmiştir. Araştırmalarda çalışma grubu olarak en fazla öğretmenlerle çalışılmış ve katılımcı sayısı en çok 0-100 arasında tutulmuştur. Nicel, nitel ve karma araştırma yöntemlerinin kullanıldığı tezlerde 9 farklı araştırma deseninden yararlanılmıştır. Yirmi iki farklı konuda yapılan araştırmalarda veri toplama aracı olarak en fazla anket (n=9), görüşme formu (n=8) ve ölçek (n=8) kullanılmıştır. Araştırmaların önerileri incelendiğinde en fazla öğretmenlerin yaşadıkları problemlerin azaltılmasına yönelik önerilerde bulunulduğu görülmüştür. Buna ek olarak araştırma önerileri; okul şartlarına, öğretim programına, öğretmen adaylarına, velilere, öğretim sürecine, taşımalı eğitime, kız öğrencilerin okullaşmasına ve diğer çalışmalara yönelik öneriler kodu altında toplanmıştır. Sonuç olarak, birleştirilmiş sınıflar için tasarlanmış bir programa ihtiyaç olduğu, hizmet öncesi dönemde birleştirilmiş sınıf dersinin daha etkili işlenmesi ve öğrencilerin doğrudan köy okullarında yapacakları uygulamalarla desteklenmesi, benzer şekilde, hazırlanacak hizmet içi eğitim etkinlikleriyle öğretmen niteliklerinin geliştirilmesi önemli görülmektedir.
