The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of two different types of core training applied during the season on the strength performance and football technical skills of young footballers. A total of 18 footballers average age was 15±0.8years voluntarily participated in the study. Two different core trainings were applied in addition to football technical skills. Before and after the study, the sit-up, standing long jump, push-up, dribbling, passing and shooting performances of players were observed. Data were assessed with the SPSS. In the dynamic group there were statistically significant improvements in all variables apart from shooting and passing, while the static group had statistically significant development of all variables apart from shooting. The control group only had statistically significant development for sit-up performance. While development sufficient to form significant differences between the variables observed in the experimental groups was not observed, there were significant differences for all variables when compared with the control group apart from shooting performance. In conclusion, footballers with eight-week dynamic and static core training added to in-season football training had similar levels of development in terms of strength and football technical skills, with significant development of strength, dribbling and passing skills when compared to a group without core training. In light of this data, eight-week dynamic and static strength training applied to footballers in the development period may be said to be an effective method to develop abdominal muscle strength and explosive strength performance and to develop dribbling and passing skills unique to football.
The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of eight weeks of step aerobic exercises on static balance, flexibility and selected basketball skills in young basketball players. A total of 20 basketball players (average age 16.1±0.7 years and average sporting age 4.1±0.7 years) voluntarily joined the study. Participants were randomly divided into two groups (experiment n:10 and control n:10). All participants attended basketball training 3 days per week but the experiment group also had step aerobic dance practice 2 days per week. Before and after the study static balance, flexibility and selected basketball techniques were evaluated. SPSS statistical program used for analysis. Repeated measures Anova was used to compare the pre-test and post-test measurements of the groups. The differences between pre-test and post-test measurements in the two groups were examined with the independent t-test. P< 0.05 is considered statistically significant in the interpretation of our results. After eight weeks of training, both two groups' static balance and flexibility performances were significantly changed. But only the experiment group had significant improvement in the basketball skill test. The experiment group was also statistically changed in terms of all parameters compared to the control group. According to the results of this study it is possible to say that to improve basketball skills by improving balance and flexibility performance, eight weeks of step aerobic exercise is a useful training model for young basketball players.
(p<0,01). Sonuç: Bu çalışmada internet bağımlılığı puanı düşük bulunmuştur. İnternet bağımlılık puanının düşük bulunması istenen bir durum olmakla birlikte bu durumun korunması için öğrencilerin rekreatif faaliyetlere katılımının sağlanması faydalı olabilir.
Purpose of this study was the investigate the effects of six weeks mat based pilates exercise on biomotirical variables and self esteem of young women. Totally 22 women (mean age; 20.1±2.2 year) participated in to the study voluntary. Participants divided into the two groups (pilates:10, control: 12) randomly. Pilates group did pilates exercise for six weeks. Control group did nothing. Pretests and post tests measurements of body height, body weight, flexibility, balance, abdominal strength and self esteem performed. SPSS used for analysis. Analysis showed that there were statistical findings (p<0.05) on pretest and post test measurements of pilates group of flexibility, abdominal strength, and self esteem variables (p<0.05). When comparison the measurement pretest and post test differences of two groups, there was a statistical differences about flexibility, balance, and abdominal strength. According to findings it is possible to say that six weeks of pilates exercise is the proper exercise type for young girls. Also it can be advice that for positive effecting to self esteem pilates works were preferable exercise methods for young women.
