Aproximadamente 15% da radiação solar incidente em módulos fotovoltaicos (FV) poli-cristalinos são convertidos em energia elétrica, o restante ou é refletida ou é transformada em calor. Como consequência, os painéis são aquecidos, ocasionando redução em sua eficiência elétrica, que é proporcional ao aumento de temperatura, e possível degradação física de suas células fotovoltaicas ao longo dos anos. Portanto, a elevação da temperatura de operação das células é um efeito indesejado, porém, inevitável, que pode ser reduzido com a integração dos módulos FV à uma placa absorvedora como às utilizadas em coletores solares planos que irão permitir a cogeração de calor e eletricidade, preservando a integridade física das células fotovoltaicas a partir da mesma área coletora. Dessa forma, esse trabalho propõe um modelo matemático para prever o comportamento / desempenho térmico e elétrico de um módulo fotovoltaico acoplado a um coletor solar plano (Photovoltaic Thermal Hibrid Solar Collector – PV/T, em inglês) em regime permanente a partir da variação da radiação solar incidente e da velocidade do vento.
