El presente artículo se encarga de examinar el uso de los discursos históricos a través de la (re)construcción de los mitos en la obra teatral Memorias y olvidos de José de San Martín (1992) del argentino Antonio Elio Brailovsky. Para esto, nos enfocamos en el empleo de la parodia y la metateatralidad para reforzar la aproximación crítica de contextos sociopolíticos en el pasado y presente. De este modo, uno de los propósitos de este artículo radica en identificar la manipulación discursiva en ámbitos políticos que intentan enmascarar la precariedad en distintos sectores sociales. La obra de Brailovsky nos permite reflexionar sobre la circularidad en la opresión en el lenguaje que se viene dando desde la creación de la nación argentina.
Teniendo en cuenta el carácter político en el teatro y la función performática en el espacio teatral, este ensayo analiza la trilogía de la dramaturga argentina Susana Torres Molina Esa extraña forma de pasión (2013), La fundación (2019) y Un domingo en familia. El objetivo de este análisis consiste en observar la práctica textual y escénica del teatro como un espacio de creación, negociación y encuentro para mostrar los efectos de la violencia sistematizada en contra de sectores políticos de oposición, así como de grupos sociales marginalizados, a partir de una mirada a la cultura neoliberal, modelos necropolíticos y religiosos. Si bien han pasado casi cuarenta años desde el regreso de la democracia en Argentina, el trauma social, más allá de identificarse por el evento que lo causó, persiste en la estructura de su experiencia, recepción, consumo y progresiva repetición en el presente. En la última década, Torres Molina se ha encargado de reconstruir y redefinir el pasado dictatorial argentino por medio de su teatro, lo cual nos invita a reflexionar sobre la pertinencia de las dolorosas pero necesarias miradas retroactivas y sus efectos en pleno siglo XXI.
El miedo seca la boca, moja las manos y mutila. El miedo de saber nos condena a la ignorancia; el miedo de hacer nos reduce a la impotencia. La dictadura militar, miedo de escuchar, miedo de decir, nos convirtió en sordomudos. Ahora la democracia, que tiene miedo de recordar, nos enferma de amnesia: pero no se necesita ser Sigmund Freud para saber que no hay alfombra que pueda ocultar la basura de la memoria.
A pesar de que Ariel Dorfman publicó su fundamental libro Imaginación y violencia en América hace cincuenta años, esta sentencia suya se revela más actual que nunca: "La violencia es el problema fundamental de América y del mundo" (9). En este sentido, la instauración de regímenes dictatoriales o de sistemas represivos durante el siglo XX en Latinoamérica condujo a la violencia sistematizada en contra de sectores políticos de oposición, así como de grupos sociales marginalizados y poblaciones originarias. En este sentido, al analizar los casos de violaciones masivas contra mujeres indígenas durante las guerras civiles en Perú y Guatemala, en la década de 1980, Jean Franco sostiene que la violación se convierte en un instrumento de tortura, en una especie de arma de guerra que frecuentemente termina en la aniquilación de las comunidades afectadas. Junto con esta práctica letal, los efectos de las desapariciones y asesinatos durante las dictaduras militares en Argentina (1976-1983), Chile (1973-1990, Uruguay (1973-1985) y Brasil (1964-1985, así como la dictadura cívico-militar en Perú (1992Perú ( -2000, posicionaron a estas sociedades en un estado latente de terror, implantando una cultura del miedo y de control político sobre la vida de los ciudadanos.Al regreso de la democracia en estos países, la falta de una resolución desde el terreno de la justicia acerca de las desapariciones, los asesinatos y la tortura intensificaron la fragmentación del tejido social. Las Comisiones de la Verdad hicieron un llamado a la reconciliación ciudadana pero, en muchos casos, esta invocación fue percibida como un simple "gesto retórico" (Franco 21). Esta situación se manifiesta, por ejemplo, en la respuesta nula de los nuevos órdenes democráticos ante el reconocimiento de los casos específicos de violencia sexual contra la mujer en Sandoval-Leon, Osvaldo y Chrystian Zegarra.
