Aim: The aim of this study is to evaluate the status of midwifery and nursing students towards career planning. Materials and Methods: The population of this descriptive research consisted of 1.674 midwifery and nursing students studying at the Faculty of Health Science of a state university in 2017-2018 academic year. The sample consisted of 888 students who approved of participating in the study. Data were collected by distributing data forms to the students in the classroom with Personal Information Form and Career Future Scale. The scale consists of 25 items and three sub-dimensions. Results: 74.1% of the students participating in the study are women and 81% are nursing students. 34% of the students stated that their professional ideal is to be a midwife/a nurse, 53.4% of them chose the profession willingly and 73.6% of
