Resumo: O presente artigo intenta uma breve análise da obra Hospício é Deus: diário I, de autoria de Maura Lopes Cançado, a partir dos questionamentos do "confinamento" enquanto produtor e gerador de um eu. Furthermore, studies regarding "discourse" and "institution" will be discussed in order to support the analysis about Cançado's work.

Este é um livro perigoso, feito para comprometer irremediavelmente sua consciência. A tranquilidade dos que se julgam impunes e lúcidos, dos que ainda não sabem, porque ainda não olharam para dentro de si mesmos, que Deus também pode ser o Inferno, ou o Hospício.
